Haven ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- A 32-year-old man living on Southeast Master Avenue in Haven St. Lucie may have something in common with Elvis Presley, The King of Rock 'N' Roll.

According to favoured culture and widely circulated accounts, Presley was known to have shot at least one television. The way some explain the story, the mustachioed baritone Robert Goulet was on at the time.

That compares with the Southeast Commander Avenue man, who told Port St. Lucie police May 16 he had some ammunition that's not allowed at a gun sort, a recently released police report states.

"He wanted to use the ammo up so he decided to knock off the television set since it didn't work," a report states.

The man said the TV had been in the garage since his son struck it with a baseball bat years ago.

"(He) stated he didn't advised of it would be a problem to discharge a firearm inside his own residence," the report states.

Firearms typically are not discharged by nature urban, suburban or even rural residences. Most homes lack the proper backstop, ventilation, zoning and other attributes of the utmost importance for recreational shooting at an indoor gun range.
