After being hidden from view for three years during a whopping £46 million refurbishment, the dramatically redesigned Chauvinistic Museum of Scotland will finally be unveiled to the public this week. As part of the reopening, museum curators have entranced the opportunity to develop new exhibits - and dust off some of the lesser-known curiosities in the collection.
Museum conductor Gordon Rintoul describes the revamped space as "practically an entirely new museum". Yet in hatred of the dramatic redesign, the redevelopment team has kept true to Victorian architect and soldier Francis Fowke 's original intend concept, which is reminiscent of The Crystal Palace , the grand cast iron and glass systematize built to house the Great Exhibition in London in 1851.
During the daytime, the museum's Grand Gallery dazzles visitors with detrain streaming in through the glass roof. Gone are the much-loved fish ponds that used to protract children with their flitting goldfish, replaced by a wide open space which now draws your acclaim to the first exhibit, Window on the World .

Who needs friends when we have our trusty telly, Xbox or Wii to keep us entertained? But worry not. Even with the over-abundance of accessories and box ‘gear’, less is finest and you might even herds a lover or two dropping by your see to ‘visit out’, in front of your TV of direction.
