The Samsung PS51E8000 is the new flagship 3D plasma TV from the chaebol's 2012 kind. It shares many of the latest features offered by its LED TV counterpart ( UA55ES8000 ) such as Samsung Smart Interaction and an improved subtle control with a touchpad. Here's a closer look at these functions and other key selling points for this 51-incher.

Upside: Samsung has retained its one of a kind Plasma +1 design that debuted last year for the PS51E8000, which enables this TV to deliver a larger 51-inch cull using the form factor of a typical 50-inch panel. Another benefit is a noticeably thinner bezel to exalt the set's overall aesthetics. More importantly, the PS51E8000 is supposed to output 10 percent heartier black-levels than its predecessor .

The camera and microphone used by the new Smart Interaction aim is more discreetly integrated in this model. This is unlike the UA55ES8000, which have these components housed within a "hump" above the bezel. Locating variation aside,
